Week 3
Deadline has been postponed!! Its great because we had no idea how to script the stuff out yet. Mr Stephen took time from his scripting class on Monday to show us several scripts that can be applied to the arduino. The use of tweenmax makes it really easy to conceptualize how we want the lightbulbs to fade in and out. At first Keith, was really scared by the ledDir= -ledDir code that Mr Andrew showed us, but later after scripting consultation we began to understand most of the codes and used the easiest one that we can edit to further refine the timing and intensity of the lights. We also began to plan and cut out the door, and drilled 6 holes through the door as well. We also realized we had no design for how the light would look on the door too, and we began to come up with a few designs. Some of them were not really practical because they were too complicated to construct in small scale. Naz also got a lovely acrylic material which looked very much like patterned glass. She also came out with a few design for the lights. Some did not work but some did. We learned a lot on how to choose the right materials and of course having fun discovering new things! Lijia has put together about half the documentary video too.
